Emmerculate brings deep expertise in environmental risk management, social inclusion, and sustainable development to Angaza Mazingira. With years of experience working on infrastructure, agriculture, and renewable energy projects, she ensures that our initiatives meet rigorous safeguards standards – from the World Bank’s Environmental & Social Standards to IFC Performance Standards and national/county frameworks.

Her core work includes preparing and implementing Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs), Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs), and stakeholder engagement strategies. She is particularly passionate about designing projects that advance climate resilience, promote gender equality, and enable meaningful community participation.

Emmerculate also leads efforts to integrate climate-smart solutions and global sustainability reporting frameworks – such as IFRS, SASB, GRI, CDP, and the UN Global Compact – into development programs, helping Angaza Mazingira align regulatory compliance with long-term sustainability goals.

Recognized for her ability to translate policy into practice, Emmerculate champions responsible development that balances economic growth with environmental protection and social equity – all in service of building stronger, more resilient communities.

Stephen is a passionate youth grassroots mobilizer with a strong commitment to environmental conservation. He has actively led and overseen impactful tree-planting initiatives in schools, churches, and community spaces, working in collaboration with various organizations and charity groups. Stephen’s ability to engage young people and mobilize local support has made him a key player in driving grassroots environmental action. His dedication lies in creating greener, more sustainable communities while inspiring the next generation to take ownership of their environment.

Mr.Vincent Orge Were is the Finance Manager at Angaza Mazingira for Climate Resilience community-based organization dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions to climate change. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and brings a strong interdisciplinary perspective that bridges environmental sustainability and sound financial management.

Vincent is deeply passionate about capacity building and community-led climate action, with a strong commitment to empowering local communities to build resilience against the impacts of climate change. His work focuses on strengthening organizational systems, promoting accountability, and supporting initiatives that enable communities to adopt sustainable environmental practices. Through his leadership, he continues to champion inclusive, grassroots-driven approaches to climate resilience and sustainable development.

Strategic and impact-driven Natural Resources Management professional with demonstated years of leadership in environmental sustainability, climate change resilience, and policy development. Quantifiable success in coordinating high-value programs, influencing legislation, mobilizing resources, and implementing nature-based solutions that enhance community livelihoods and institutional capacity. Skilled in climate finance, ecosystem restoration, hydrology and water resources, stakeholder engagement, and integrating environmental safeguards into complex development initiatives. Adept at navigating cross-sector partnerships to deliver scalable, sustainable impact. Rose is a passionate environmentalist with key interests in research, ecosystem restoration, natural resource conservation, climate change, and advocacy for sustainable and climate-resilient communities. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Machakos University and is a registered NEMA (EIA/EA) Associate Expert (Reg. No. 12988). She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Integrated Management of Forest Resources at the University of Dschang.

Samuel leads communication, advocacy, and visibility efforts that support Angaza Mazingira’s climate resilience and environmental sustainability agenda. Driven by a strong passion for environmentalism, he is committed to raising awareness on climate action and promoting community-led solutions.

He brings experience in ICT, digital systems, public sector coordination and stakeholder engagement, helping translate technical and environmental initiatives into clear, accessible messages for diverse audiences. Samuel believes effective communication plays a critical role in mobilizing communities, strengthening partnerships, and advancing sustainable development.

Faith is a passionate and dedicated disaster management professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Disaster Management and Sustainable Development. She has actively contributed her skills and knowledge through volunteer work with the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), where she supported community resilience initiatives, disaster preparedness and emergency response efforts. Her commitment to humanitarian service and disaster risk reduction demonstrates a strong drive to achieve the global set Sustainable Development Goals by creating safer, more prepared communities, especially in vulnerable regions. Faith is particularly interested in integrating issues of climate change, resilience, community development, and sustainable disaster preparedness strategies for transformational change.

Joshua is an experienced and knowledgeable environmental and climate change professional with a background in environmental science. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Integrated Watershed Management. Joshua is deeply passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular commitment to Goal 13 on climate action.

Coming from an arid and semi-arid region that is highly affected by climate shocks such as droughts and flash floods, Joshua is driven to support communities in understanding climate risks and building resilience. In addition, he has a strong interest in applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to promote data-driven decision-making in climate change planning and interventions.
